Venerable Bede CE Academy

These figures are a testament to the hard work, determination and resilience of our students who are encouraged to aspire in everything they do.

Of course, we could not do this without the support of our parents. I would also like to thank our staff who have extremely high expectations of our students and who take great pride in their achievements.

It has been a really successful year: once again we have been awarded the national BIG (Bullying Intervention Group) award, the only secondary school so far to do this twice. To achieve this award, the students have to ensure that all young people in the school have a voice and work together to combat bullying.

Congratulations to our Class of 2015!

Recent Inspections

Congratulations to our students, staff, governors and families on two fantastic inspections,

each lasting two days! Ofsted were the first to visit under the New Framework in January this year, closely followed by a SIAS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools). Judged from Good to Outstanding in all categories.:

Most of all, we pride ourselves on being inclusive; a neighbourhood school, open to all. See our new Admissions Policy or simply give us a ring and we’ll show you around.
