21.06.2013. Annual Literacy Day Monday 8th July

Dear Parents/Carers

Venerable Bede Academy would like to invite members of the local community to help celebrate their annual Literacy Day.

Come along to our free ‘Nostalgia Morning’, (10 am ‘til 12 noon), where we can share old images and memories of our community. We have a scanner and photographic paper so that you can create free copies of your precious photographs. Enjoy a cream tea and help our students create a ‘Memory Wall’.

Parents and toddlers are invited to our free ‘Toddler Book Party’ which is being held by staff from ‘7 Stories’ (1:15 pm – 2:15 pm) with a Julia Donaldson theme. Juice and snacks will be provided.

You are all very welcome to attend both events. Please contact the School office on 01915239745 to reserve your space.

Recent Inspections

Congratulations to our students, staff, governors and families on two fantastic inspections,

each lasting two days! Ofsted were the first to visit under the New Framework in January this year, closely followed by a SIAS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools). Judged from Good to Outstanding in all categories.:

Most of all, we pride ourselves on being inclusive; a neighbourhood school, open to all. See our new Admissions Policy or simply give us a ring and we’ll show you around.
