The directors wish to appoint the following post to commence as soon as possible:

HLTA for SEND (permanent)

37 hours per week term time only £22,571 – £24,920 FTE (Pay Award Pending)

(Actual salary of £19,078 – £21,063 < 5 years’ service. £19,497 – £21,527 > 5 years’ service)

38 wks + 5 inset (195 days)

Part of Dayspring Multi Academy Trust, The Venerable Bede CE Academy in Sunderland is judged by OFSTED to be a GOOD school in all categories. Motivational teaching, a strong climate for learning and good pupil behaviour all contribute to this.

In your role as Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will assist within the SEND Department in raising standards of pupil achievement. You will deliver a range of teaching and learning activities under the direction and supervision of SENDCo.

You should have high levels of literacy with a desire to inspire pupils to achieve. If you are looking to join a passionate and hardworking team, who continuously strive to give our pupils the support they need to flourish, this role could be for you. Ideally you will have previous experience in this area, or in a similar role. You will be a team player who puts the needs of the pupils first.
